Shoaib Akhtar goes for Cheap publicity of his book and accuses several cricketing greats including Wasim Akram, Sachin Tendulkar, Shoaib Malik and calls Shahrukh Khan a cheat. Admits of being a cheat himself. The already much controvercial Rawalpindi Express has titled his book ‘Controvercially Yours’ which he has decided to launch in India. He says that Wasim Akram tried to destroy his career and that Tauqeer Zia the then Chairman of the PCB had supported him, something that Mr. Zia rubbished outrightly. Shoaib also accused Tendulkar of Walking away from his bowling and fearing him. He also said that fellow teammate Shoaib Malik was an incompetent captain and that Shahrukh Khan was a cheat. Shoaib went on to admit of being a cheat himself and of tempering the ball with his finger nails but said that all bowlers around the world do it.
Shoaib Akhtar is the fastest bowler in the history of the game of cricket bowling at a pace of 100.2 miles per hour. He was a telented player but wasted his career thanks to injuries and several self created controvercies which he could and should have avoided. No doubt, after his retirement last year, this was the best way to be back in the lime light and launch his book to a wider audience.
Mr. Akhtar, you can do yourself a lot of good by staying out of controvercies and protect the little respect you have got left. Already you are a Ganguly in Pakistan but the Indians liked you, but with your move to launch your book there and accuse the likes of Wasim, Shahrukh and Sachin, you are in for a bad day. Soon they might start treating you somewhat the same way the Pakistanis treat you.
Do yourself, your fellow team mates and your indian counterparts a favour – Take a break.
