The BCCI and PCB had finally come to terms on having a bilateral series in December. This had happened a lot of dialogues and debate with India refusing to come and play in Pakistan and also refusing to play at a neutral venue. Mind you, it was Pakistan’s turn to host the series but the PCB agreed to go to India and play the series there.
Now, the fanatic group, the Talibans of India, Shiv Sena has strongly opposed the series. The chief of the Maharashtra State Congress has also indirectly opposed the series. In such a situation, espacially keeping in view what the Shiv Sena workers can do, the players of both India and Pakistan would be under immense pressure and threat.
The Indian government needs to sort the matter out so that the series is conducted in a friendly and safe atmosphere and the players can perform their best without any threat to their life and well being.
